Colorado School Grades, an online tool created by a diverse coalition of 18 nonprofit community organizations, including the Professional Association of Colorado Educators, today released its 2014 rankings of every public school in the state. The grades, which are available online at http://www.ColoradoSchoolGrades.com, are intended to help parents, students, educators, and community members better understand how their schools are performing.

Report Finds Bias in Teacher Evaluation Systems

Report: Course Choice Offers Students Options

This week, the Fordham Institute released Expanding the Education Universe: A Fifty-State Strategy for Course Choice, a report outlining the benefits of course choice and how to implement the policies effectively.

Englewood, CO – The Professional Association of Colorado Educators (PACE), the state’s premiere non-union organization, recently polled member educators about the merits of education reform in Colorado. One of the themes that remained constant was the need to attract and train talented teachers. The results determined that 68% of teachers agree with a policy that would better prepare teachers for the classroom by requiring the completion of a residency or apprenticeship program, under the supervision of a proven mentor, prior to receiving a professional license to teach.
