The Professional Association of Colorado Educators (PACE), the state’s only non-union teachers association, is pleased to announce that 22 teams, each composed of a teacher and five students, have been sponsored by PACE to participate in Science Explorers Workshops.  This unique professional development program is a hands-on science workshop on wind power, energy efficiency and passive solar energy.

The participants receive a full curriculum and a teaching kit to bring back to their school to recreate the lessons with their students.

“PACE is proud to present the funding needed to send 22 teams to the Science Explorers Workshops.” stated Dr. Kris Enright, PACE Executive Director.  “I commend Science Explorers for finding ways to implement innovative ideas to educators and students.”

Teachers and students work side by side, which gives teachers the opportunity to observe how students respond to the activities, and allows students to develop their own knowledge and leadership skills.
