PACE Applauds the Innovation Schools Act of 2008

Colorado’s “Innovation Schools Act” is an astute step forward which will empower professional educators, students, and parents, providing all stakeholders with opportunities for increased personal investment in their local school.   We applaud such measures and foresee the potential to increase student achievement through flexibility, innovation, and the capacity to adjust how education is administered to address the individual needs of students and schools.

We believe in strong local control of education, greater parental involvement, and high standards of excellence and accountability for all stakeholders – parents, students, teachers, administrators, and the community.  Empowering and informing those who have the greatest stake within a school will undoubtedly promote what is best for children.
